This week I was mixing the first song for the hard rock band from Tennessee, US. When re-amping guitars, I always use different tones for each of dual-tracked rhythm guitar tracks. For the first guitar track I have used boosted JVM Crunch channel and was looking for an alternative for the second track. I have ended up using boosted Bogner Uberschall distortion pedal straight into JVM PowerAmp In. Pretty great result, client is also excited with the guitar tones, even with the very first mix preview I have sent recently!
Are you experimenting with different preamps connected into the poweramp section of your tube amp?
